Anybody knows where I can find a instructor who teaches Xin Yi Liu He Chuan? I heard that most Muslim Xin Yi Liu He stylists are quite conservative and don't usually teach outsiders........

Is George Xu still around? About ten years ago (maybe more like 15) he was teaching in the San Francisco bay area. If I remember right one of his "claims to fame" was teaching xinyi liu he to anyone whose money was green, regardless of what god they worshiped. He or one of his students did a book on that topic which is still around.

take care,
Brian

This a interesting topic, as far as I know, Liu He Xin Yi Chuan, both Hernan, and Dai family are still regarded as cloesed door art's, you cant enroll in a Liu He Xin Yi school, or get video instruction through the mail.

What I have seen while scanning articles, web sites seems quite incorrect, especially looking at so called masters performing postures, if you are looking at authentic information regarding history, theory etc, I would recommend, China from inside, Jarek's web site.

I havent met Jarek, but from asking my teacher about him, he say's he is doing a really good job unearthing history on liu He Xin Yi.

P.S, if you think you can just flash a few notes around and get instruction you are dreaming, Liu He Xin Yi, is more precious than platinum, and you will be extremely lucky if you can find a teacher in the west who will impart his knowledge to you.

I am only a beginner in the art, before I started Liu He Xin Yi, I practised Xing Yi Chuan for around 3 year's, before that I practised BeI Shaolin for around 5 year's.

So before I was even I was considered worthy I had allready practiced with my teacher for around 8 year's.

If you are really keen why dont you email Jarek, you might be lucky enough for him to find you a teacher.

Happy training.
