it does look interesting. But if I had to guess, I would say that it is more a biography and history book than an instructional. The Chinese were notorious for secrecy, and consequently, I wouldn't expect a lot of instructional materials to be available. I think this attitude is captured perfectly in Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching: "Those who know do not talk. Those who talk do not know."

Thanks Tim. I just bought a book and there is a chapter that covers you and your training.

Very cool.

Thanks much Tim for posting the link. Elizabeth and I appreciate that. I should mention that we mention you as "an outstanding translator" of several Chinese martial arts training manuals.

My wife (Elizabeth), who is a full time translator did a side by side comparison between your translation of Sun Lu Tang's taiji book and the original. She was extremely impressed with your translation of a difficult book. And I should mention, she is not given to idle praise; so you must have done an outstanding job.

thanks much,
take care,
Brian
