My master showed me both of those 'secret' moves on my second day at Judo, too. Me and the koojo are just lucky I guess, or closer to the source.
thats funny, on my second day of judo i was still practicing breakfalls and shoulder rolls.
i did a couple of breakfall things in china, so when I displayed my competency in these, we moved right along. Plus my club is a little 'sporty', we don't do any kata, or breakfall practice really in the classes. It's sort of assumed for some reason. Not saying that's smart, just the way it is. Everyone in the club is young, or fit, or both.
Damn, on your second day of Judo class! You must be a prodigy.
those were both like basic techniques i had to know before i got my first belt.
someone belted you?
I hope you belted them right back.
it has been my honor to get belted a couple of times now.
strange, i always thought in order to advance beyond green belt, you had to go register with a club and win matches in tournaments to obtain points. at least thats how its done in america, amd im pretty sure they do the same thing at the kodokan.
USJF ID # 64593

I am a green belt, and in America nonetheless, as the associations may imply.
I fight at 156lbs, if your ever in comp. on the east coast.
Jason,
Why do you regularly post twice when you could simply 'edit' the first post?
Bob#2
after thoughts
that didn't answer the question.... so, I'll ask a different way...
when you post something, and have after thoughts, why don't you utilize the 'edit post' feature?
because I end up thinking of things after I submit the original post.
I'll try to be more thorough in the future, in my editing.
you still don't understand!!
look at the top line of any of your posts.
"by Jason... on date....time EDIT_POST"
just click on "EDIT POST" and you can EDIT your original post.
oh.
your right.
I didn't get that at all.
there's more to you than just gerontological tai ji.
(and wit)
and, knowing is half the battle.
i did it! I did it!
jason, you shouldnt taunt a bull unless you know how to fight one.
