My master showed me both of those 'secret' moves on my second day at Judo, too. Me and the koojo are just lucky I guess, or closer to the source.

thats funny, on my second day of judo i was still practicing breakfalls and shoulder rolls.

i did a couple of breakfall things in china, so when I displayed my competency in these, we moved right along. Plus my club is a little 'sporty', we don't do any kata, or breakfall practice really in the classes. It's sort of assumed for some reason. Not saying that's smart, just the way it is. Everyone in the club is young, or fit, or both.

strange, i always thought in order to advance beyond green belt, you had to go register with a club and win matches in tournaments to obtain points. at least thats how its done in america, amd im pretty sure they do the same thing at the kodokan.

Jason,

Why do you regularly post twice when you could simply 'edit' the first post?

after thoughts

By Bob #2 on Thursday, February 02, 2006 - 11:15 pm: Edit Post

that didn't answer the question.... so, I'll ask a different way...

when you post something, and have after thoughts, why don't you utilize the 'edit post' feature?

By Jason M. Struck on Friday, February 03, 2006 - 12:00 am: Edit Post

because I end up thinking of things after I submit the original post.

I'll try to be more thorough in the future, in my editing.
