http://www.aikidostudent.com
I've been working on this site for the last 4 months or so. It's an Aikido video tutorial and information site. It's not fully running just yet, but most of the major work is done.
I plan to have it completely running by mid May, at which time I plan to update the site with new posts 5 times a week. For now the posts will consist mostly of traditional Aikido techniques and concepts. However as time goes on I will update it with my personal Aikido methods. Including sparring, resistance drills and some unorthodox Aikido practices.
Anyways, let me know what you think, and if you find anything that is broken or not working correctly. Thanks.
Very nice Chris!
Good luck with the site, I hope people take advantage of the resource.
Thanks Tim, I hope so too.
I figure it will be kind of like most of the stuff I do. 3% will think it's the best thing they've ever seen. 40% of the Aikido community will be completely offended. 25% will point out how some great teacher did such and such technique different, and how I need to move 7 degrees more to my left, or circle the chi in my belly first. The remaining 32% will say "interesting" and that will be the end of that.
But I'm fighting the good fight as best I know how. Thanks for the support.
Wonderful! This shall be added to my bookmarks post-haste!
Just added it to mine as well - very nice Chris.
The bell tones at the intro to each technique are esspecially calming :-).
Thanks,
Terrence
Thanks for the bookmarks!
I am very interested in learning aikido. I think the techniques would compliment my style pretty well. Its a bit harder to find then judo for bargain prices though. Gonna take jiu jitsu first though.
Great site chris, i could tell you put a lot of time into it, wish you the best.
Step one: Circle chi in belly.
Step two: fart
Step three: offend 40% of the aikido community.
HAHAHAHA, that sounds about right!
I love it, Chris. Nice, detailed work. Already bookmarked.
