why is it that everywhere i go, i see the same black belt... man... he has no skill, standing around the mat barking orders and correcting forms? I cant stand it. I remember i got to do some rondori with this guy and i scored like 5 ippons in two minutes, and all with uki otoshi. All i had to do was basically twist him into the mat. It was so pathetic, no defense nothing... I remember one time he got mad during practice, resisting with all of his might, like its some kind of an accomplishment to avoid being thrown during fitting practice... then he got really mad when he tried his hardest to avoid being thrown and get thrown anyway (during practice, not rondori)... then he told me to train with a different partner because i wasnt doing it right. After all, when youre training partner, who is a black belt, and he tells you not to resist his throws, while he, on the other hand is calling on the power of the almighty to keep him from gong to the mat. Thats fair right? Thats good teaching right? Whats up with that, i didnt understand.

Another thing, right when i walked onto the mat, he starts questioning me, asking me if im enrolled in the class, bla bla bla. I was seriously wondering what this guys problem with me was...

Then there is the Tattooed badass that has an IQ of 30 which he acquired from reading his first book in prison. Im talking to the account manager guy and here is the retarded ex con meth addict grappler... He just stands around, acting like a toughguy, all of his teeth are rotted away from smoking meth, everytime i looked at him to introduce myself he just gives me this retarded look. All the while im having a conversation with this guy, and here goes mr tattoo, standing there like im going to attack the account manager... and he doesnt wear a gi, but a sleeveless shirt to show off his naked lady tattoes. I guess he was just doing the prison thing he "sticks with his kind" backing this up like a prison riot is going to pop off, and we are just having a conversation. not bothering to introduce himself, but insisting on staring at me the whole time until i walked out of the door..

I am so annoyed right now, i was really happy to go back to training, but this just ruined my day...

Where can i find a decent judo school in san diego? Please, someone, anyone...

I still have to check out fabio garcia. I will probably head down there tomorrow, but i really wanted to further my judo before i undertook jiu jitsu. Oh well. Im not going back to the place i visited today, i really admire the head sensei. But i just cant stand the people there.

Am i supposed to tolerate this type of ?

My conscience tells me to be humble and tolerate it. But i really cant respect people who have no skill, or bad character. Especially when they are the senior instructors.

Hell if they are senior instructors, then im a tenth degree black belt.

Anyone else have problems with egotistical retards at their dojo/school etc?

I stopped smoking and drinking so i can focus on training.

But It seems i have horrible luck with finding people who like me... lol.

Am I really that intimidating? Im just a short slightly chubby... well, ive been sitting on my ass for a year or two. ill be honest. "fat" brown guy who doesnt fit in with mexicans or filipinos. My own races shun me... lol, because mexicans dont like filipinos and vice versa. Haha... Mexicans think im filipino, and filipinos think im mexican. So im screwed. Oh well, ill just hang out with the black people like i always did. LOL. Well, not really. Some of My best friends are filipino (i have like 6 or 7 friends literally) but only because we grew up together. lol

Or maybe im just ugly or something...

Philipino enforcer, is that you?

I'm the white version of you. White guys don't like me cos I dont follow sports or like wwf or brock lesnar and I follow a code of honor. Asians don't like me cos I don't gamble and they think all white guys are gullible simpletons. Black guys act all shady around me (they seem to have trust issues) and mexicans hate me for some reason.
That's y I hate the world.

LOL

In a strange way, its comforting to know that there are people out there like me. lol

Also, i said fabio garcia, i am retarded, i meant to say fabio santos.

Gonna check them out today, hopefully i can pay with cash. My last bank account was ravaged by the last martial arts school i attended. They kept withdrawing monthly fees even though i wasnt attending anymore, they said its because i didnt cancel my account. But they didnt tell me anything like that. Oh well, i guess i shouldve read the fine print, you live and you learn right? now im 500 dollars in debt to my bank thanks to them.

Grr, thats why i extremely dislike the world. lol

My wife's having a pilates lesson with a Fabio. Should I be worried?

You should be concerned if your wife is taking any kind of lesson from someone named "Fabio"!

Fabio Santos is among the best, he has a black belt in Judo. One of his instructors is a good friend of mine and lived in my condo building, Kevin Hussain. Fabio is married and his wife helps at the school. Kevin's girl that owns a condo in my building is the daughter of Yip Mans senior students (Duncan Yeung?. Kevin has an advanced degree in engineering and is no idiot.
I have already vouched for San Diego Judo and Shehan Iizumi. The University of Jiu Jitsu in the same space run by Saulo Ribeiro is as good as it gets.
I am interested to know the names of these jailhouse instructors that Robert so easily man handles. I wonder if while attempting to show a principle if the are getting a King of the class champion competition from the student?
Any legitimate Judo class is registered with one of the three Judo organizations and standards are in place to insure no phonies are teaching with the organizations stamp of approval.
Judo USA also teaches and has a acceptable reputation.
Robert I missed you at the Judo Nationals in Mission Valley a few months ago but am looking forward to seeing you in competition soon. With you years of study and apparent growth and ability to manhandle instructors I can't wait to see you get a medal.
Also Vista has a great club my friend Jake Flores (MD) has been there for years, his son was an alternate on the USA Judo team during the 2004 Olympics.
I have never had a shortage of good Judo in San Diego.
That being said some of the very best instruction I have had in all my training as been from Tim Cartmell both in person and via his books and DVDs. Being slightly over an hour away from San Diego his Saturday am open mat and private instructions are a bargain at twice the price.

Jaime, if you want names, im gonna need a bigger typing space. jk

And i never said i manhandled anyone aside from one person whos name i wouldnt mention even if i knew it, i said that i was dissatisfied at the quality of senior students that ive been coming across. Sensei iizumi of course is high class, and in a superior category of his own. Oh and that one time i threw you over my head and you attempted to pin me with your big toe. LOL No hard feelings jaime, why do you sound so peeved?

I was basically just venting. I apologize if i offended anyone..

I asked my wife if her Fabio also has his wife hanging around the class, but she gave me a weird look.

Well,

I think its time to hang up the keyboard for me and actually start training again.

Groundfighting is a totally different dimension, i went to fabios and the people there were cool.

Im also gonna check out iizumis class as well.

Probably wont see me much here anymore since i will actually be training instead of talking smack.

lol

Tk guys, wish you all the best.

well, its been a year, and i havent really accomplished anything because i started drinking and smoking again... What the hell is wrong with me... Childhood trauma.. It sucks. lol.

Im such a loser..

Any new classes popping up in san diego? Im gonna try to quit smoking and drinking again. LoL.

I had a great resource with a guy named alex shpiegel who taught free xingyi classes once a week, but i fucked that up by coming to class drunk after my brother died. Im too embarrassed to go back..

I'm looking for some free resources like tai chi in the park every saturday or something. lol.

Anything free, or cheap in the san diego area? Tai chi xingi bagua, judo or jiu jitsu?

Thanks:-):-):-)

In the san diego area?

Im gonna visit the old dojo's and if I see that one asshead instructor im gonna vomit on the mat and leave.

Why dont you work out for the sd triathlon coming next march? You get 6 months. Costs nothing to train - just borrow a friend's bike and put out an ad for a training partner in each of the three legs to help you motivate yourself.
