How usefull are these body defense techniques against grappling for instance? Also do they protect all areas of body including head? Do they have a limit, or body cannot be penetrated by strikes?

I can't say for sure, but I do think they have their limits. Obviously they would have little effect defending against grappleing as it's not really a striking art and Golden bell is for defending against impacts if someone gets past your defenses.

There is at least one golden bell practitioner on my Kung Fu forum at http://www.royaldragonusa.net

I do not like it, on this thread!

I do not like it, in my head!

I do not like it, here nor there!

I do not like it anywhere! :)

What did that add have to do with the conversation?

Shouldn't you have started your own tread for that?

Well it directly related to Spam I Am's post. You see the name Spam I Am is a knock off of Sam I Am from the book "Green eggs and ham". My post was done in the same meter as that book in reply to the post above it and in regard to the shameless use of Tim's forum for advertising without asking permission.

Gian,

Sorry I did not read your post correctly. I thought you asked what my post had to do with the thread. After I posted my reply I noticed you were referring to the "add". Please disregard.

I would like to add this specialty to my daily routine. After reading on this subject, I am convinced I should have started this training twenty years ago. Is there anyone that you know who can train me properly, tapes C.D. or personal instruction. Thank You!

Dean Lee
