Khan Foxx's Liu He Ba Fa Book

Tim's Discussion Board: Martial Arts - Miscellaneous: Khan Foxx's Liu He Ba Fa Book

Since the topic of Liu He Ba Fa has come up lately, I'm recommending Khan Foxx's excellent book
HUA YO T'AI CHI CH'UAN: The Kung Fu of SIX COMBINATIONS AND EIGHT METHODS (LIU HE BA FA).

This work is one of the best on the principles and practice of the Internal martial arts. I recommend it to practitioners of all IMA styles. I believe it is still available through Plum Flower Press.

I appreciate the interest and continued praise about
my 'ancient' book [now 10-20 years old depending on the edition]. I can make either this past edition available as either a document or on CD as PDF. However, my current teachings and toyings [including a website on this subject] moves me to 'cut' to the basics and tutor more about the importance of the 'water' method and 'spirit' jump. Instead of a history lesson on an obscure poem and exercise-lineage and why 6 is 8 and all the word-idea games possible, I now prefer to text and teach a story about '1'; it's a much shorter song than LHPF or water-style. If enough
people have the interest in my 'old' book to make it useful for my time to produce copies, it will become available. With best, always...

...take..it..easy..
>the website synopsis of LiuHeBaFa, its content, and connections in principle
and lineage remains under development as:
waterspirit6x8; is under tripod.com, but connecting
online withit from bangkok makes development slow. Until its completion, patience.
with best, always

Dammit Khan, I haven't slept and barely breathed since I heard about your site, and you took five days to reply.

It's no wonder I hardly have any hair.

My barber will take out a contract on you if you don't get the site up soon.

;-)

Now get to work

best wishes

Edward

ahh. students, helpful and sometimes needing help themselves. This message is a correction:
One of my interested bangkok thai students posted this message with a few errors. Yes, Khan Foxx is available...at a reasonable price, negotiable to what a students needs or wants upon visiting Bangkok (unless someone affluent enough wants to import me for a seminar); most visitors and most interested in ancient exercises and ideas are budget and time restricted. Thus, although my helpful student had been told what some 'other' US teachers of LHPF charge for private lessons, I am not that expensive. As for my book price, I think my student just 'doubled' the US price to adjust for EMS-mail service; still expensive.
As for my website, if it had all the features of this website and its many topics, it would be nice indeed.

A short message:
I decided to push my website out onto the net:
http://waterspirit6x8.tripod.com
...the details about how-to, historical-tangents, and my own viewpoints are terse for now; it's something like cooking, some want hot and spicy, others not.
My previous book remains only available on CD-pdf and eventually I will update it when times' available.
best, always
