I just received word that master Liang Ke Quan has passed away.
Liang Lao Shi was perhaps the last of the great internal fighters of his generation, a man whose actual combat and fighting experience was unparalleled in his time. This is a great loss to the entire martial arts community.
That's very sad - I hope that he was happy and content at the end of his life. I wish I could have met him.
It seems that a great many masters have died in the past few years - this is a continuing great loss.
Sorry Tim, I know that you were very fond of him.
The giants are falling.
The Ba Gua Zhang Journal article on Liang Ke Quan may be of interest. It can be found on the web at:

Hi Tim,
Sorry to hear about the passing of Liang Ke Quan. I really liked that guy as I know you did and I am sure he took a wealth of Kung Fu with him to the grave.
Scott
Tim you think you could defeat Liang Ke Quan when he was still alive or when he was in his prime and you in yours? Have you crossed hands before? What about bjj, could he be taken down?
Do you really believe Tim will answer that question?
who else can awnser it? And why wouldn't he.
Because, at least the way I was raised, that kind of talk about the recently deceased is simply rude. It is like going to somebody's wake and saying "oh I was a lot smarter/better businessman/handsomer than the guy in the box.
take care,
Mr. Mortuary Manners
Blakeism,
Are you a child? If so, let me explain that it isn't polite to make those kinds of comparisons with your teachers, especially ones that have passed away.
If you are not a child, you should already know better, but just in case, let me explain that it isn't polite to make those kinds of comparisons with your teachers, especially ones that have passed away.
