Can anybody give me any info on the style of Xing Yi perpetuated by the late Kenny Gong...how it differs from Hebei/Shanxi?

Thanks a lot.

Best,

Shawn.

K. Gong style shing yi issues power through torso and rib cage manipulation, this is only a basic aspect of the training, but without proficiency in this area further training is useless. We do not strike with our hands, but with explosive power generated from the body. So distance between the hand and the target is not needed. The "one inch punch" is one inch too far away in this style. There is no magic to great power, only devoted training with a qualified teacher.

Thanks for your response...almost five years late, but thanks.
