He stopped teaching E-CHuan?

The late Kenny Gong had a good reputation in xingyi. Just curious, though, David . . . how did he study with "3.5 Xing-I teachers"? There's half a teacher in there somewhere.

It's a little complicated. It's not that Teacher has stopped teaching E-Chuan. If you've studied long enough with him, I am sure you are familiar with his method of constant modification and upgrading. At the moment, he has separated his Ba Gua from his Xingyi classes and has suspended his E-Chuan classes. Xingyi has taken the place of E-Chuan nights. There are a few of us that are taking both Ba Gua and Xingyi simultaneously as some prefer specializing in one or the other. His Xingyi, from what teacher says, has improved these past five years and this is what he is teaching now.

Now that the mystery of the .5 teacher is cleared up, I have another question; is E-Chuan like E-Mail or is it a new way to romanize Yiquan or I-chuan?

Marco, How old are you? You say you know Wang Zhuang Fei? He's been dead for a while, so how do you know him. Oh, and as far as names of schools, a name is a name. Your school's name is the national institute of bagua, does that mean that your style is the national institute style?

Last I heard about Wang Hanzhi he was living in malaysia, I was told he gave up teaching Bagua because he could make more money as a fortune teller. Would love to know if he was teaching again.

gasmaster, i said i know Wang Zhuang Fei, no i met Wang Zhuang Fei! If someone ask you "do you no Yin Fu?" you say that you had not this pleasure? in any case he left us about 6 years ago! my master Zhang Du Gan studied BaGua with him and his son Wang Han Zhi, so i know Wang Zhuang Fei;this i mean. he is like my Great Granfather.
About Wang Han Zhi i know he's in malaysia too;but maybe he doesn't teach.

Also if in his site he've "forgiven" the real successor of G.M. Wang Zhuang Fei : Wang Han Zhi!!!

Hey marco, On the first post, I see that it's just the way you wrote the post because english is not your first language. I would have written I know of wang Zhuang fei. Anyway, I appologize.

On the second post, Imperial baguaquan is meant to be the name of the school, so I can see the confusion. It's not written very well, and can give the reader a false impression IMO. Gong Zhang Xiang doesn't speak english, so the website was put together with translation. None the less, Your teacher, and Gong Zhong xiang are probably the last two people teaching this style, so instead of trying to seperate the two schools in a "my school's more authentic than yours" debate, You should try to contact each other, and share. Again this is just my opinion. Hope all is good with you-Gas

Master Gong is one of the very last disciples. Mr Wang Han Zi is no longer teaching. unless someone would provide enough financial incentive for him. there are still some other students of Master Wang in china who are teaching this GongTing Bagua.
