Wan was a true martial arts expert that put it on the line over and over again in fights and challenge matches. Also included are rare pictures of traditional training equipment used in CMA.
Another interesting article is Harry Cook's second installment on Qi (Ch'i). Included are several interesting reports of qi gong "masters" attempting to demonstrate their abilites under controlled conditions.

Yeah, Wan Lai Sheng was an outstanding figure and made a great topic for the article. The next edition will have the martial arts training manuals for the military piece...with an "official" Tim Cartmell quote.
I also wrote a response to Harry Cook's piece. I basically agree with him that most qi gong "demonstrations" are b.s..
One of the post last week mentioned you got injured, hope you are "back in the saddle".
