You should consider having the database backed up, and put onto CD.

I'd love to have my own copy of just all the wealth of knowledge contain on this site.

Just An Idea Though. I know its a conglomeration of everyones thoughts and ideas so there might be a crapload of copywrite issues though.

Thank you, Charles W. You make it difficult for an exceptional man to remain modest. I am truely honored.

As you should be bob, you are one of the true unsung heros of the dark underbelly of martial arts. Who would comment on the dangers of the Tiger claw, and pheonix eye fist if not for you!!

tim i have a question for you.

i have been studing IMA, and i'am confuse about something.
some expert or master said that to stay rooted
you have to stay on your heel with your weigth
sunk ,but to move around fast and smooth
you got to be on the ball of your feet.
so how should one fight on the heels or on the balls. or it's a mather of situation in the fight?

Marc,

In general, your weight will be more towards the balls of your feet.

Mr. Dahoust it is a matter of what works for you based on your body type. Bruce Lee had one leg that was a full inch shorter than the other. So he favored being on the toes so to speak. Whereas another person may favour the heels. If you are on your heels you must pay attention to properly pivoting. Hope this helps.

no one fights (and wins) with their weight on their heels.

shane do you know wanderlei silva?
he keeps he's feet flat most of the time!
being light like a gazzel can help you hop around quickly but you're not rooted!
for MMA is best to stay rooted, than hop around.
that the only thing i like about IMA is their
rooting, you can't root good on your toes!
but shift the weight on the heels and you'll feel grounded!
ps. it's possible and even easy to pivot on you heels!

his feet are flat but is weight isn't on his heels.

how could you know that unless you are him?
if the feet are flat, when you lean foward,
the weight is on the ball!
but if you lean back it's on the heels!
so it's a matter of what is going on?!
so what the do you know shany!
