A lot of people site max strength as the best base for mma training. It's all important but imo anaerobic stamina(explosive) is the aspect that holds all other strength aspects together. IT doesn't HOW strong you are if you gas early.

I think people push and choose max strength training because it's easier than the others and defeasier than stamina training. You get to do a few heavy lifts and then walk around and and hang out with your friends in between sets. What a life!
