Tim and others,

What is microcosmic orbit and do you use it in yoru practice?

I don't own a microscope. So I can't answer that one.

The microcosmic orbit is an idea in Chinese Qigong practices that qi flows around inside your body in various patterns, the microcosmic orbit is one of them.

I don't use it in my practice because I've never seen any evidence that it exists.

Thanks Tim and Bob #2. I don't have a microscope either, that's why I had to ask.

Oh, you mean THAT mircocosmic orbit. I call mine, Mike.

It's been my observation that all living things have a flow of energy. Some creatures, who work harder, eat better and take better "care" of themselves have stronger, healthier energy than the creatures who eat poorly, abuse their bodies and take bad "care" of themselves.

There aren't any English terms in existance to explain this phenomenon, I could explain it to you in Chinese but the only Chinese dialect I speak is extremely rare.

I always thought it was just the breathing a person does when they're really relaxed. I mean, there's this long, complicated explanation about taking your chi from here to there, but from what little I am able to understand from it, it sounds like you relax your lower abdomen, then your..uh...nether regions( this is a family site after all), and then your lower back, in that order, as you breathe. So, for people who are still caught up with chronic tensions, they are forced to concentrate on relaxing that area to breathe correctly.

My guess.
