To Meynard and others

I was speaking to my brother in law tonight whom told me about the website shenwu.com and all of the unfriendly •••• he was getting by trying to participate in the discssion section, when he thought he was taking part in a civil discussion group.

I can vouch for Jason (Jay is his nickname/shortname), he is my brother in law and is pretty damn good at what he does, he has studied MA most his life, but has been able to put his learnings to practical useage and goods use at that. At one football match he waded in and helped out a supporter who was getting battered by a 6 ft plus geezer, in Desborough near Kettering. The why's wheres and what are not applicable. All that matters is Jay did'nt think twice about helping out a poor sod from getting battered. The guy he exchanged hands with was a big bloke maybe 6 ft plus, and Jay sent the thug flying thru the air, and fronted the situation out when there were 3 plus heavy duty geezers squaring up to him Jay did'nt back down until the mexican standoff dissipated. So I get a little touchy when bigwigs or whatever try to slander my brother in law by calling him a wanker, I for one can vouch Jay is no walkover, and viewing the discussion on the newsgroup I can see it is'nt justfiable to call him so.

I'd think twice before you go rushing into this or that.

Jay is a polite, friendly and amicalble person who would put his own arse on the line to help others. But is not one to be crossed.

As for Meynard Ancheta you aint all that Sunshine, and from what I've see of you sparring you may think your all that but all I see is a kinda Slugger O'toole methodology.

While you may get off on throwing Wenshu students about or giving em a Dig, just remember this it's a big big world out there, and not every one who can fight does Martial Arts, although there are some of em who do.

I apoligise for my loss of cool and maybe one of my assoiciates or fellow training partners for sticking up for me (although it could be nobody I know), I'm sure Tim deserves better for the time & money maintining this site.

I personally felt insulted by Maynards comments hence my untoward repsonse. Maybe Meynard might meet me halfway on this one maybe not, but I offer the hand of friendship and hope I am old and wise enough to rise above it all. My doors in Kettering UK are always open to any guys from America wanting to visit the UK for MAs.

I was'nt able to answer this as I did not have media player operating. Having studied Aikido yes it looks Ok, and Nat appears reasonably skilled after say 1 years training (52 weeks), Meynard is very skilled at breakfalls. Yes it looks OK but I did not see anything that I have'nt practiced in Aikido at one time or another.

I can't see why Jays may have been thinking of visiting for that type of training? As I've seen him do throws and technique which at the very very minimum is easily equal to any of the stuff seen, maybe he just wants to visit America and had planned some stop offs or places to visit. BTW Jays sparring ability IMHO is more preponderant, except Jay don't know much ground wrestling, maybe that why he finds ShenWu so interesting due to the Neijia Arts synthesised with BJJ.
