Su Dong Chen

Tim's Discussion Board: Tai Ji Quan : Su Dong Chen

"Isn’t it interesting that Tim a World Class Martial Artist, would talk a little smack about another World Class Martial Artist, Su Dong-Chen, only when he is now residing back in Tokyo."

I don't believe I have read anything disrespectful written by Tim ever. He always says controversial things, haha, but never rude or disrespectful. Is Master Su your teacher? If so, I can understand why your quick to the gun. I remember a few posts ago Tim was singing his praises though. Don't sweat it. If master Su is truly that good then who cares if someone disagrees with him.

I WISH Tim would talk smack every once in a while!!! He doesn't even talk smack about the people that everyone talks smack about. He does ask questions and answer direct questions though. Which is pretty nice and unfortunately different then some high level CMA guys.

that wasnt a demonstration , and you certainly dont train for multiple attackers as a boxer but fair play to the guy.

but what are you trying to say kelly /

I wasn't trying to say that was a demonstration. Tim said that demonstrations implying that one unarmed man can defeat multiple opponents is meaningless, and misleading. This i took to mean that he thinks that one man cannot defeat multiple people in a street fight, and that demonstrations that imply that you can are false.

that boxer must feel pretty cool though.

Reread my initial post. It depends who one is fighting.

I believe one trained fighter (and a boxer is a good example of a combat sport fighter having realistic skills) can knock down two drunk guys.

That clip is also a good example of attacking first, making use of the element of surprise and committed follow up.

Sorry if I misunderstood your original post. It is cool to see a trained fighter use his so well on the street against multiples.

this is why i think its pointless to train ma for self defense as its almost never one on one. People in these days and ages are cowardly, really only white people and asians and even less of white people now as half of them are confused whiggers fight honorably one on one anymore. I got attacke dby like 8 of them before im sure alot of u know about that.
