Hi Charlie,

I'm one of my master's closed disciples. I belong to Quan Zhen Sect under Qiu Chu Ji, Long Hu Men. My Master is under this lineage. He is one of the most updated old man around for his age, 81 this year. He combines western nutrition into his diet structure. He tries all sorts of medicine, HRT and meditates and see what kind of effects it does to the body.

Taoist Philosphy is a part of advance qi gong practices and it can be used into martial arts.

Cont'd

I have spent the last 12 years, learning MA, but i have lots of interest in bodybuilding, nutrition science too. I read extensively into strength training.

I think Buddhism, Taoism, Jesus is similar in a way. Buddhism refers to Nirvana, and spending time cultivating yourself over many lifetimes to attain that single truth. Taoism are more practical, they build the perfect health and to attain that truth in 1 lifetime. Jesus(to what i feel) is about accepting God into your life.
I think we can't compare the 3 pure ones to the rest cuz it's 2 different religion and i don't want to get into a religion discussion.

We had Catholic priest meditating in our center too. There are taoists that follow Buddhism or Christianity. But the question is, can they break free of what their religion hold them too?
If you are into Taoism by learning qigong, then you would not have any conflicts with it. Religion is a binding thing, it binds your faith , beliefs and makes you who and what you believe in. It is very easy to be confuse and lots of people never find their path in life.

It is very easy to be blinded and get obsessed by anything. I spent 5 years learning Thai buddhism and at one point, my altar was filled with 100+ statues. I meditated in catholic churches and lots more.
I'm very fortunante to be able to absorb alot of religion thinking and not be tied to it.
I guess i'm fortunate to have met Sai BaBa.
He has freed my bindings by opening my eyes to see what is true.

Bawahahahahah !!! Ian N you are a funny guy, you say empty vessels make the most noise, how very bitchy, cat claws are out?

Yet did'nt Lao Tsu advise us all to be empty. Empty the state of doing nothing, in which everything gets done.

Please reply I don't mean any real insults, but I do enjoy banter with a fellow follower of the Dao.

p.s. is Ian N your real name or are you an Asian guy or a Westener who studies Dao in Asia
